WNDU Adds Meteorologist Matt Engelbrecht
Gray Television’s NBC affiliate WNDU South Bend, Ind., has hired Matt Engelbrecht for its WNDU First Alert Weather Team as a chief meteorologist, sharing the duties with Mike Hoffman until Hoffman retires.
Engelbrecht comes to South Bend from WITN Greenville, N.C., where he was a meteorologist for 10 years before earning the title of chief meteorologist in 2015. Prior to that, he was a morning meteorologist and storm chaser for KWES Midland, Texas.
Engelbrecht hails from the Detroit area. He earned his bachelor’s degree in meteorology at Valparaiso University.
