Meteorologist Brian Hutton Jr. Joins WTAE Pittsburgh

Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WTAE Pittsburgh has added meteorologist Brian Hutton Jr. He becomes part of Pittsburgh’s Action Weather team, led by Chief Meteorologist Mike Harvey, Meteorologist Ashley Dougherty and Meteorologist Jeff Verszyla.

Hutton has been a meteorologist at stations in Mississippi and North Carolina. His severe weather experience includes snowstorms, hurricanes and tornadoes.

Hutton grew up in Johnstown, Pa., and met his wife Jenny, who is from Monroeville, while attending California University of Pennsylvania. He is an adjunct lecturer in meteorology at Mississippi State University.

Hutton will join anchor Chris Lovingood Saturday and Sunday mornings at 5-7 and 8-10 a.m. starting April 17, replacing Cam Tran who accepted a position at WESH, WTAE’s sister station in Orlando, Fla.
