Brandon Evans Named KHBS-KHOG Weekday Evening News Anchor

Hearst-owned Fort Smith, Ark., ABC affiliates KHBS-KHOG  has added Brandon Evans as anchor and reporter.

Evans will co-anchor 40/29 News at 6, 9 (on The Arkansas CW subchannel) & 10 p.m. weekdays with Paige Preusse, Chief Meteorologist Darby Bybee, and Sports Director Mitch Roberts, while also contributing news reporting on all 40/29 News platforms.

Since 2018 Evans has anchored and reported at Hearst KOAT Albuquerque, N.M. He also anchored and reported at WTVC Chattanooga, Tenn., plus he’s reported, anchored and been a digital producer at various media outlets in Georgia. He started his career reporting sports for television, radio and print.

Evans is a graduate of Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn., where he received a Bachelor of Arts in writing and communications.

He joins the 40/29 News team in late April.
