K.C. Kantz Joins WLNE Providence News Desk

Standard Media Group’s ABC affiliate WLNE Providence, R.I., has added K.C. Kantz to its Good Morning Providence team.

He will join veteran anchor Doreen Scanlon and meteorologist Chelsea Priest starting Monday, April 26, anchoring alongside Scanlon weekday mornings from 5 to 7 a.m.

Kantz comes to Southern New England from WTAJ Altoona, Pa., where he was anchor of the region’s most watched morning news program since 2015. Prior to making the move to the morning news anchor role, he was sports director and anchor at WTAJ. He started his career in television news as sports anchor at WSEE Erie, Pa.

Kantz is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, receiving a B.A. in broadcast journalism.
