KOAT Albuquerque Adding Hour Newscast At 11 A.M.

On Aug. 22, Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate KOAT Albuquerque, N.M., will launch KOAT Action 7 News at 11:00 a.m. The hour-long weekday newscast will be anchored by Darlene Melendez who will be joined by meteorologists Eric Green and Byron Morton.

KOAT President and General Manager Lori Waldon said: “Our viewers want trusted news and weather earlier in the day. We see a great opportunity at 11 a.m. to deliver even more breaking, local, state and national news stories that impact families in our local communities every single day.”

Starting Aug. 22, The Good Dish will move to its new time period at noon. As the final season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show comes to a close, it will be replaced by The Jennifer Hudson Show which premieres Sept. 12 at 3 p.m.
