Prior to these roles, he was an assistant news director at KOIN Portland, Ore., and worked for Scripps as an assignment editor and assistant news director at KERO Bakersfield, Calif., and an assignment editor at KSHB Kansas City. He also has held newsroom roles at KTLA Los Angeles, KGW Media Group in Portland and KPTV Beaverton, Ore.
“Justin is an award-winning journalist with a deep understanding of newsroom operations and Texas markets,” said Kathleen Choal, regional vice president and general manager. “His leadership experience and previous tenure with Scripps stations make him a great choice to be the leader at KXXV-KRHD.”
