KMIZ Columbia, Mo., Adds Me-TV

JW Broadcasting’s ABC affiliate KMIZ Columbia-Jefferson City, Mo. (DMA 138), will add new diginet Me-TV beginning Jan. 9.

Me-TV’s library includes series from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, CBS Television Distribution, NBCUniversal Television as well as independent series owners and producers. Me-TV, memorable entertainment television, launched nationally in December 2010, is owned and operated by Weigel Broadcasting Co. and distributed by MGM Television.

Me-TV on ch. 17.2 will replace StormTrack 24/7. “When the weather channel began,” the station said in a statement, “there were no smartphones and computers in the home had far less penetration than today. Our website www.abc17news.com provides weather with the click of a mouse and live, local radar with updates 24/7.”

“Adding Me-TV was an easy choice for us,” said KMIZ General Manager Gene Steinberg. “Me-TV’s library of TV classics allows us to provide our viewers with some of the most popular and enjoyed shows ever on television.”
