Rentrak Signs Peak Media’s Johnstown Duo

Multi-screen media measurement firm Rentrak Corp. announced that Peak Media’s WATM (ABC) and WWCP (Fox) Johnstown-Altoona, Pa. (DMA 102), have signed a long-term contract for Rentrak’s StationView Essentials service.

“We have been following Rentrak’s evolution for some time and feel they are the measurement solution that local broadcasters have been looking for in order to provide more accurate and more reliable audience information,” said Frank Quitoni, president of Peak Media. “Rentrak’s ratings are collected from massive databases and provide Peak, as well as our agency and advertiser partners, with the viewing information that allows us to lead the way in Johnstown-Altoona. Peak is thrilled to join hundreds of other broadcasters and agencies who are transitioning to Rentrak ratings.”

TV Essentials is a television ratings database currency that provides daily measurement of all U.S. TV networks in all 210 U.S. TV markets. The service incorporates data from more than 19 million satellite, telco and cable television sets and integrates it with product consumption information.
