KTTV Adds Karapetyan, Koh To News Staff

Fox announced today that Araksya Karapetyan and James Koh are joining the news team at its KTTV Los Angeles, effective March 13 and 14, respectively.

Karapetyan will be a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for KTTV’s Studio 11 LA, Fox 11 News at 10 p.m., and Fox News at 11 p.m. Koh will serve as a general assignment reporter, covering breaking news and sports headlines for the same broadcasts.

A native of Palos Verdes Estates, Karapetyan returns to Los Angeles from KOIN Portland, Ore., where she was a general assignment reporter and fill-in host for the past three years. Throughout her career, Karapetyan has held various news positions in California, most recently as a reporter for government access cable television channel Torrance CitiCABLE 3 in Torrance.

Previously, she was a reporter, anchor and producer at KIDK Idaho Falls. Karapetyan began her television career as an intern at KABC Los Angeles and at KFI-AM in Burbank, Calif.

Karapetyan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in international relations and broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Koh returns to Los Angeles from KSWB San Diego, where he most recently served as a multimedia journalist. Prior to that, he was a fill-in anchor at KBAK Bakersfield, Calif. He began his career as an intern at KABC Los Angeles and Fox Sports Network in Los Angeles.

Koh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Arts in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Communication.
