WVUE Adds GM For Its Bounce Subchannel

Former Disney/ABC Domestic Television exec Curtis Pace will lead the efforts of the New Orleans affiliate of the new broadcast TV network for African Americans.

Louisiana Media Co. (LMC), owner of Fox affiliate WVUE New Orleans (DMA 52), today announced the addition of Curtis Pace as general manager of its Bounce TV subchannel (ch. 8.2).

According to Bounce TV, WVUE is the African-American targeted network’s first affiliate to hire a dedicated local general manger.

Prior to this new position, Pace was with Disney/ABC Domestic Television as VP of Midwest sales based in Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of New Orleans where he majored in political science. He also earned a law degree from Southern University.

“We are excited to have someone of Curtis’s experience and wisdom returning to New Orleans and joining our team,” said Joe Cook, LMC president. “Based on early ratings success that has been nothing short of phenomenal, Bounce TV-New Orleans has already begun to grow into a serious local competitor in our market. Under the aggressive leadership of Curtis, we expect Bounce TV-New Orleans to become the top Bounce TV affiliate in the country.”

“This is another milestone day for Bounce TV,” said Ryan Glover, president, Bounce TV. “Joe and his team have done a tremendous job with the network locally and the commitment to a full-time general manager after such a short time will reap further returns.”

New Orleans ranks as the 19th largest television market in the U.S. for African-American households.
