Anchor Chris Egert Leaving KIRO For KSTP
KIRO Seattle anchor Chris Egert is leaving Cox-owned CBS affiliate after five years. His last day at the station will be April 13.
“I am leaving KIRO 7 and moving back to Minnesota,” said Egert. “My father is going through some health problems and we felt as a family it was important to be close by to help out.”
Egert will be joining KSTP, the ABC affiliate for Minneapolis-St. Paul as a news anchor and reporter at the end of April.
Egert has been part of the KIRO 7 Eyewitness News team since 2007, and currently anchors KIRO 7 Eyewitness News at 4:30, 5 and 6 a.m.
