WJLA Washington Adds Live Well Network

The addition of the diginet owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations Group brings its national coverage to 60% of U.S. households.

The Live Well Network , the multicast lifestyle TV service owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations Group,  today announced an affiliation agreement with Allbritton Communications’ ABC affiliate WJLA Washington (DMA 8).

The station will launch the lifestyle programming service July 1, bringing the Live Well Network’s availability to 60% of U.S. households. This marks the second Allbritton property to launch the network; the first was KATV Little Rock, Ark., in September 2011.

James Killen, VP of sales, Allbritton Communications, said: “The Live Well Network’s lineup, clustering a wide range of lifestyle series on a single channel, has proven a welcome addition to Little Rock. We expect the network’s top-quality original series will be equally appealing in to the Washington, D.C. audience.”

The Live Well Network lineup includes My Family Recipe Rocks! with Joey Fatone, Live Big with Ali Vincent and Steven and Chris. Other affiliates include eight ABC Owned Television Stations, 10 Scripps Television Station Group properties, seven Belo Corp. stations and various properties operated by Journal Broadcasting Group, Citadel Communications, Gannett Broadcasting, Bonneville International, Carlisle One Media, Bonten Media Group, Bruno-Goodworth Network, Great Plains TV, Lilly Broadcasting, LKK Group and Quincy Newspapers.
