KVOA Names Sean Mooney Weekend Anchor

Sean Mooney will be joining Rebecca Taylor on the weekend anchor desk at Cordillera Communications-owned NBC affiliate KVOA Tucson, Ariz. (DMA 70). Along with co-anchoring weekend newscasts, Mooney will also be reporting as a multimedia journalist from the field three days per week.  His first day will be Monday, June 4. 

Mooney, a graduate of the University of Arizona, began his career as a producer and on-air talent at Major League Baseball Productions. He moved on to World Wrestling Entertainment as an announcer/host before joining WWOR New York as a 10 p.m. news anchor. Mooney also held anchor/reporter positions at WBZ Boston and Fox Sports Arizona.

He joins KVOA from Del Mar Advertising in Tucson where he was marketing/advertising director.
