Inergize, AP Introduce ENPS Integration

The Inergize Web CMS now fully integrates AP ENPS newsroom systems, making it easier for TV stations to distribute on-air content on websites, mobile devices and social platforms.

Inergize Digital today announced that it has collaborated with The Associated Press to integrate story text and metadata from the AP ENPS newsroom system in the Inergize Web CMS.

“At Inergize Digital, we understand that the need to publish content within a system environment is essential to the news management process,” said Jason Gould, Inergize SVP-GM. “We began working with broadcast groups more than eight months ago to elicit client feedback and test and deliver an integration that increases productivity and meets the needs of today’s newsrooms and beyond. Our clients have already commented that the ENPS integration makes publishing content online and on mobile faster and easier, leading to more content published.”

“The Inergize Digital integration with ENPS enables journalists to compose stories within a consolidated editorial environment and quickly move this content into the Inergize Web CMS, rendering and monetizing it for multiple distribution channels,” said Mike Palmer, director of ENPS design and integration at The Associated Press.

“We’ve listened to our mutual customers who have clearly asked for more consolidated workflows, greater simplicity for journalists and wider visibility of content across all of their editorial processes,” Palmer added. “Convenient drop-down lists within ENPS enable journalists to feed metadata to the Inergize Web CMS to increase online search engine optimization and publish to multiple categories. The initial Inergize Digital integration with ENPS is a significant step in the continuing evolution of online publishing workflows.”

Inergize Web CMS clients integrating AP ENPS newsroom systems include New Vision’s KOIN Portland, Ore.; and Newport Television stations WKRC Cincinnati; WPTY-WLMT Memphis; WTEV-WAWS Jacksonville, Fla.; KGPE Fresno, Calif.; KLRT-KASN Little Rock, Ark.; WPMI-WJTC Mobile, Ala.; KGET-KKEY Bakersfield, Calif.;; and WETM Elmira, N.Y.
