WTXF Philadelphia Adds Howard Eskin To Sports

Fox O&O WTXF Philadelphia (DMA 4) has signed station alumnus Howard Eskin from a cross-town rival.

Beginning Sept. 4, Eskin will serve as sports anchor for Fox 29 News at 5 p.m., Fox 29 News at 6 p.m., Fox 29 News at 10 p.m., Fox 29 Sports Sunday and Game Day Live, as well as contribute to Good Day Philadelphia.

Eskin was part of the station’s news team that launched the Ten O’clock News back in 1986.

Most recently, Eskin was co-host of WCAU Philadelphia’s Sports Final.

A Philadelphia native, Eskin began his career in radio as an engineer at WFIL-AM. He then went on to co-host on WMMR-FM’s Morning Zoo and later became sports talk host for WIP-AM.

Eskin has co-hosted several Eagles pre-game shows and served as a sideline reporter for WIP’s Eagles games. He has also contributed to the George Michael Sports Machine on NBC, co-hosted the nationally-syndicated radio show, Let’s Talk Sports, and was a sports columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News.
