WGN News Live Stream Tops 1 Million Mark
Tribune-owned CW affiliate WGN Chicago (DMA 3) announced that as of October, its WGN-TV News Live Stream on wgntv.com reached more than 1.4 million video views. This is a 370% increase since 2011, when the live stream launched, the station said.
Viewers can stream WGN’s local news and weather anytime, anywhere and on any device. The stream can be found on WGN-TV.com, on its various apps including the WGN News App, the WGN Live App and SmartTV app.
The WGN News Live Stream continues to be the No. 1 video across all of WGN-TV’s digital platforms and Tribune Broadcasting. All WGN newscasts are streamed: the WGN Morning News, WGN Midday News, WGN News at Five and WGN News at Nine. In between newscasts, viewers can watch live press conferences, breaking news and the top news stories of the day.

Way tired of the screaming commercials of scam companies with “800” numbers. car dealers, lawyers, endless station promos, etc., I record the news ahead of time on my DVR. Watching online may be convenient, but you’re still screwed with 20 minutes of commercials (or more) per hour. My time is better sent than watching those greedy money-grabbers.
