WTTG-WDCA GM Duffy Dyer Retires

The head of Fox’s Fox-MNT duopoly in Washington steps down after 12 years in the market, 26 with FTS.

Duffy Dyer, VP and general manager of Fox’s duopoly in Washington (DMA 8) of WTTG (Fox) and WDCA (MNT) retired Monday.

He had been with Fox Television Stations for 26 years, the last 12 leading the Washington stations.

Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations, said: “Duffy has been invaluable to FTS over the last 26 years. We want to thank him for his leadership and unmatched dedication. He will be truly missed.”

A search is on for Dyer’s successor and he will continue at the station through the summer.
