PromaxBDA’s Jonathan Block-Verk Leaving

In an email to its members Monday, PromaxBDA Co-Chairs Joe Earley and Lisa Gregorian said the president of the marketing organization would be leaving at the end of the year and that they would be naming a new head in the coming weeks." "PromaxBDA is today regarded as a first-rate organization in large part because of Jonathan's leadership and we are appreciative of his passion, commitment, dedication and development of a terrific team," Early and Gregorian said. Block-Verk said an announcement on his next job will be made Tuesday morning.

After a six-year run as president of PromaxBDA, Jonathan Block-Verk is leaving the organization at the end of the year to start what he calls “another very exciting, very cool chapter of my career.”

Block-Verk declined to say more about that chapter until tomorrow morning when an official announcement by his “new boss” is to be made.

Co-Chairs Joe Early and Lisa Gregorian announced Block-Verk’s departure by releasing an email to members this afternoon.

“PromaxBDA is today regarded as a first-rate organization in large part because of Jonathan’s leadership and we are appreciative of his passion, commitment, dedication and development of a terrific team,” the email says. “The association has flourished, launching new, transformative initiatives.

“We will be announcing a new head of the organization in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, there is a terrific staff in place who remains committed to providing excellent service to you our members.

“You have the word of the board and of the entire staff that we will not miss a beat.”

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Block-Verk three years ago made PromaxBDA relevant to local broadcasters again, launching the Station Summit, an annual conference for broadcast marketers and station creative services directors. After three years at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, the conference is set to move across town to The Mirage next summer (June 24-27).
