Janet Hundley Joins WTMJ As News Director

Journal Broadcast Group’s NBC affiliate WTMJ Milwaukee (DMA 34) has named Janet Hundley the station’s news director, responsible for managing all aspects of daily news operation, including news content, budget and audience research. She succeeds Bill Berra who left the station in March.

Hundley will start in her new role on June 17 and will report to Joe Poss, the station’s VP-GM.

Hundley joins WTMJ from WLS Chicago, where she has been assistant news director since 2002.

Prior to WLS, she was news director at WTVG Toledo, Ohio,, where she was also a journalism professor at Bowling Green State University.

Hundley has also worked in a variety of broadcast roles, including producer, operations manager and photojournalist for three television stations in North Carolina.
