KSBW Ups Brittany Nielsen To Weekday Mornings

Hearst Television’s NBC affiliate KSBW Monterey-Salinas, Calif. (DMA 125), has named Brittany Nielsen as weekday morning anchor of its KSBW Action News 8 Sunrise, effective Oct. 29.

She joins Anchor Dale Julin, Meteorologist Lee Solomon and Traffic Reporter Michele Allen Monday through Friday from 5 to 7 a.m.

An alumna of Monte Vista Christian High School, Nielsen earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Eastern New Mexico University before returning home to begin her career at KSBW in 2007. She was promoted from reporter to weekend evening news anchor in 2010.

Replacing Brittany on the weekend evening news is Lauren Seaver. She is a graduate of California State University, Chico, with recent broadcast journalism experience in Jacksonville, Fla.
