‘The Better Show’ Bites The Dust

Meredith's syndicated lifestyle show will close up shop after eight years. Meredith stations will continue to develop local programming under the Better banner.

The syndicated lifestyle The Better Show from station group Meredith now in its eighth season has been canceled, the company confirmed this morning at NATPE. The show will remain in production through the spring.

“We had a successful eight-year run, which is quite an achievement for a syndicated program,” said Meredith Local Media Group President Paul Karpowicz, in a statement. “In the end, we couldn’t attract an audience large enough to match the quality of the content being produced.”

The show this year is co-hosted by JD Roberto and Kristina Behr.

Meredith stations will continue to develop local programming under the Better banner, the company said.

This is no surprise. The highest rating it ever received was .2. This show was absolutely awful. The hosts never had any chemistry.
