WAVY Adds Traffic Broadcaster Jen Lewis
Media General-owned NBC affiliate WAVY Portsmouth, Va. (DMA 42), has hired veteran local broadcaster Jen Lewis as morning traffic reporter starting today. She will also be a regular contributor on The Hampton Roads Show weekdays at 11 a.m. on WAVY.
Born in Newport News and raised in Yorktown, Lewis started her broadcast career at 19, reporting traffic from a Cessna on WNOR-FM Hampton Roads, Va.
A few years later, Lewis moved to morning radio on WNVZ-FM Norfolk, Va., and then joined WGH-FM Newport News as co-host for nearly two decades of the Jimmy Ray and Jen Show.
