Stemmermann New NBCUDTD Digital VP

Scott Stemmermann will oversee all multiplatform digital and social products for the division’s first-run syndicated programming. In addition to managing Access Hollywood, Access Hollywood Live, Steve Harvey, The Meredith Vieira Show, and all shows produced from NBCUDTD’s Stamford Media Center, Stemmermann will lead digital and social strategy for prospective shows produced by the division.

Scott Stemmermann today was named vice president, digital marketing at NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.

In his new role, Stemmermann will oversee all multiplatform digital and social products associated with NBCU Domestic TV Distribution’s first-run television properties. In addition to managing Access Hollywood, Access Hollywood Live, Steve Harvey, The Meredith Vieira Show, and all shows produced from NBCuDTD’s Stamford Media Center, Stemmermann will lead digital and social strategy for prospective shows produced by the division.

Stemmermann joined NBCuDTD in 2013 as director of digital strategy. Under his leadership, existing shows like Steve Harvey and Access Hollywood saw large increases in fan engagement and custom content creation. Stemmermann enhanced Access Hollywood’s online presence by launching exclusive digital content such as “Instant Access” and “Early Access on Facebook.” Now, Access Hollywood’s audience can connect with the brand at any hour of the day. In addition, he launched all digital and social assets for the premiere season of The Meredith Vieira Show
Stemmermann began working at NBCUniversal prior to joining the division. With background in wireless, digital media and entertainment, Stemmermann joined the company supporting its Mobile Content Venture. For this joint venture, he led third-party application developers on overall product features for Dyle TV, a mobile TV application and service.

Prior to NBCUniversal, he spent several years at Viacom Media Group’s digital distribution department and also at Sprint Nextel in product marketing where he managed their mobile entertainment partners. 

Stemmermann received his MBA from University of Missouri, Kansas City and his BA from Baker University in marketing and business management.
