WECT Wilmington Adding 4 P.M. News

Raycom Media’s NBC affiliate WECT Wilmington, N.C. (DMA 131), will introduce First at Four on Monday, Sept. 14. The new show will be the only local 4 p.m. newscast in the market, according to the station.

“We realize viewers are not always able to catch the news in traditional times,” said News Director Scott Saxton. “We feel this is a great time to get viewers updated on the day’s events, along with up to the second weather and traffic reports. We plan to use the new time to showcase what makes our community great as well through compelling local stories.”

WECT’s Ashlea Kosikowski will anchor along with meteorologists Lauren Rautenkranz and Patrick Ellis rotating the weather duties.
