Kathy Orr Joins WTXF As Weather Anchor

Fox-owned WTXF Philadelphia (DMA 4) has hired Kathy Orr as weather anchor for the station’s 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts, effective Sept. 20.

Most recently, Orr was chief meteorologist at KYW Philadelphia, and prior to that was a meteorologist at WCAU, also in Philadelphia.

Earlier in her career, Orr worked for MTV Networks in New York and WTVH Syracuse, N.Y.

A graduate of both State University of New York Oswego and Syracuse University, Orr holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in meteorology and broadcast journalism/marketing, respectively. She holds the NWA, AMS, and CBM certifications in meteorology.
