QUARTERLY REPORT

Entravision TV Revenue Rises 5% In 3Q

Higher national advertising and retransmission consent revenue help power the increase.

On Thursday, Entravision Communications Corp. reported third quarter television segment revenue of $43.4 million, an increase of 5% from $41.3 million in the same period of 2014.

The TV segment increase, the company said, was primarily attributable to “approximately $5.5 million of revenue associated with television station channel modifications made by the company in order to accommodate the operations of a telecommunications operator,” an increase in national advertising revenue and an increase in retransmission consent revenue. This increase was partially offset by decreases due to the absence of World Cup and significant political advertising revenue in 2015 compared to 2014, and a decrease in local advertising revenue.

Operating expenses for TV in quarter were $20.4 million, up 2% compared to a year ago.

Digital segment revenue for the quarter was $5 million, an increase of 73% from $2.9 million in 3Q 2014. Digital operating expenses totaled $2.5 million, up 62% from $1.5 million in the prior year’s quarter.

The company as a whole reported net revenue of $69.3 million, up 11% from $62.3 million in 3Q 2014.

Commenting on the company’s earnings results, Walter F. Ulloa, chairman-CEO, said: “During the third quarter, we achieved revenue growth driven by increases in our television, radio and digital media segments. We also achieved record free cash flow while posting solid gains in net income over the prior year period.
