WDJT Milwaukee Adds Two To News Staff

Weigel Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate WDJT Milwaukee (DMA 35) has hired Amanda Porterfield to co-anchor the Weekend News along with Eric Levy. She begins today, Monday, March 7. She will be anchoring the 5, 9 and 10 p.m. newscasts on Saturday and the 5:30, 9 and 10 p.m. newscasts on Sunday

For more than four years, she anchored newscasts at WCIA Campaign, Ill., and also reported for three years in Chattanooga, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of acclaimed journalist Harry Porterfield, who worked at WBBM Chicago until he retired late last year.

Kristen Barbaresi will be joining WDJT as a fulltime reporter on Monday, March 14. She comes from WKOW in Madison, Wis., where she was a multimedia journalist and before that, she spent time at WXOW La Crosse, Wis., in the same position.
