DMA 43: OKLAHOMA CITY

KOCO Launching 9 A.M. And 9 P.M. Newcasts

Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate KOCO Oklahoma City (DMA 43) is expanding its news coverage with the launch of two new newscasts.

Weekday mornings at 9 a.m., KOCO will air a new hour-long newscast following ABC’s Good Morning America. KOCO 5 News at 9 will be anchored by the weekday morning team of anchors Erielle Reshef, Abigail Ogle and meteorologist Brad Sowder, with additional reporting from Rob Hughes, Steve Bottari, Markie Martin and meteorologist Shelby Hayes.

KOCO is also adding a half-hour evening newscast at 9 p.m. seven days a week on its MeTV Oklahoma City subchannel (over the air on ch. 5.2 and on Cox Cable ch. 222 and Suddenlink Cable).

KOCO 5 News on MeTV will be anchored by the evening team of Paul Folger, Jessica Schambach and chief meteorologist Damon Lane, with Mecca Rayne, Bret Buganski and meteorologist Jonathan Condor anchoring weekends.

“We’re constantly looking for new ways to serve our viewers needs across all our platforms, on-air, web and mobile,” said Brent Hensley, KOCO president-GM.
