Daniel Armbruster New KHBS/KHOG Co-Anchor

Daniel Armbruster has been named weekday morning co-anchor for Hearst Television’s ABC affiliates KHBS/KHOG Ft. Smith-Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Ark. (DMA 100).

Armbruster joins 40/29 News Sunrise co-anchor Yuna Lee, meteorologist Laura Huckabee and traffic/breaking news reporter Allison Wise.

Prior to his move to mornings Armbruster coanchored 40/29 News at 5:00 p.m. and 40/29 News at 9:00 p.m. on subchannel The Arkansas CW. Armbruster will continue to report news on-air, online and on the 40/29 apps.

“Daniel has been filling in on the morning newscasts for the past several weeks, adding his strong presence to 40/29 News Sunrise,” said News Director Colleen Clement. “Viewers have responded to Daniel’s authoritative, yet friendly demeanor. I believe he’s a perfect fit for our 40/29 morning team.”

Armbruster came to 40/29 News in 2014 from KTBC Austin, Texas, where he anchored and reported for nearly two years. Armbruster also anchored, reported and produced at stations in Bryan and Sherman, Texas.

He is a graduate of the University of Texas, Arlington, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with a minor in political science.
