NBC Universo Names Gastón Production VP

NBC Universo announced production executive Fernando Gastón is joining the company as VP of production and development. In this new role, he will be responsible for the development and execution of production strategy.

Gastón will report to Bilai Joa Silar, SVP of programming and production for NBC Universo.

Gastón will participate in the assessment and development of entertainment properties, and contribute in tactical and strategic discussions for the channel. In addition to fostering relationships within the creative community, he will work closely with other departments to develop programming goals and oversee the production staff on creative ideation, development and execution.

He previously was SVP of content for MTV/VH1/Comedy Central Latin America, under Viacom International Media Networks. He successfully developed and produced a number of MTV Latin America’s scripted shows, launched Comedy Central Latin America, and led TR3S brand strategy for the U.S. Hispanic market.
