KTVZ Bend, Ore., Adds 7 P.M. News
News Press and Gazette’s NBC affiliate KTVZ Bend, Ore. (DMA 190), is adding a new local newscast beginning Sept. 12.
NewsChannel 21 at Seven will be a 30-minute weekday newscast at 7 p.m. Branded as “The local newscast that’s on when you need it,” the broadcast, KTVZ says, “is designed for viewers who want their local television news and weather, but at a more convenient time.”
“Adding a 7 p.m. newscast only reaffirms our commitment to news and the people of Central Oregon,” said Bob Singer, KTVZ’s general manager. “As a company we believe in localism, and will continue to invest in the future of NewsChannel 21 and this community by providing quality news.”
The newscast will also be streamed live at ktvz.com/livestream.
