Donald Trump’s Health A Good Rx For Dr. Oz

Thursday’s show in which the presidential candidate disclosed some medical records boosts the syndicated talker to its best ratings since July 2014.

Dr. Oz got a booster shot in the ratings from Donald Trump’s medical records on Thursday.

The daily syndicated health-talk show — hosted by Dr. Mehmet Oz and distributed by Sony Pictures Television — made news this week as the place where the Republican presidential nominee chose to make the results of his latest medical checkup public. Trump taped the show Wednesday in New York. It aired on Thursday.

The show scored a 2.01 average household rating (from the 56 markets where overnight ratings are available). It was the best rating for the show since July 2014, SPT said in announcing the ratings on Friday.

The figure is a “cume” household number encompassing double runs of The Dr. Oz Show, SPT said. The syndicator also said the Trump show scored a 0.62 rating among women 25-54, the show’s target demographic — the best cume in the demo since last May, the company said.

Even for the first, or primary, airings of Dr. Oz with Trump, the news was good. The primary airings had an average rating of 1.85, the best since March 2014, SPT said. In the demo, the primary airings averaged a 0.53.

On the show, Oz interviewed Trump for an hour about health issues both personal and national. Trump revealed the results of a physical he underwent last week with his personal physician at a New York City hospital. The appearance made for a timely, news-making show for Dr. Oz since it came at a point in the campaign where the physical health of the candidates has become an issue following Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s recent pneumonia diagnosis.

I wish Dr. Oz could have explained how mild pneumonia causes an otherwise healthy woman to collapse as shown in the video.

I’m not a doctor nor a supporter of Ms. Clinton but I can explain it. Ever had the flu and stayed on your feet busting your ass all day because you were “too busy to be sick”? How’d you make it towards the end of one of those days? I would be woozy too.

The funny thing is how Don the Con has the Right Wing Whackos in ‘merica all worked up over Muslims… then he appears on a show hosted by… yep, you guessed it – a Muslim…
