KMSP Ups Amy Hockert To Anchor-Reporter

Fox-owned KMSP Minneapolis (DMA 15) has promoted Special Projects Reporter Amy Hockert to anchor and reporter. Beginning Sept. 19 she will co-anchor the 5:30 p.m. newscast Sunday-Thursday, alongside current solo-anchor Randy Meier.

Hockert has been a special projects reporter for KMSP since February 2015. Prior to that, she was VP for local Minneapolis digital news site Bring Me the News.

Previously, Hockert was a reporter and anchor for KARE Minneapolis. Before that, she was a reporter and anchor at WLFL Raleigh, N.C.; WDAY Fargo, N.D.; KMOT Minot, N.D.; and began her career at KVLY Fargo, N.D.

A graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead, Hockert holds a degree in mass communications.
