Web services company provides such functions to stations.
Editor: In your Feb. 27 story announcing the launch of the AP Online Video Service, you incorrectly state that WorldNow’s video service does not allow its station-clients to syndicate or exchange video with other stations. On the contrary, over the past few years, WorldNow has been enabling companies such as LIN TV, Meredith, New York Times, Tribune and Raycom to syndicate and share their video content. In Boston, the New York Times Co. is able to publish, share and syndicate video among three media partners: Boston.com, NECN.com, and NESN.com.
Tribune also uses the WorldNow video solution to publish video across multiple media entities including WPIX and Newsday in New York; KTLA and the Los Angeles Times in Los Angeles; and WGN, the Chicago Tribune and CLTV in Chicago. In addition, WorldNow enables its customers to set up automated feeds that provide video to other sites, applications and platforms.
