As streaming viewership grows and linear ad sales continue to be buffeted by strong headwinds, streaming sales have grown ever more important as a revenue source for broadcasters. A group of the industry’s sharpest streaming sales leaders will tackle the most critical developments on this front in Streaming Revenue Strategies for Local TV, a TVNewsCheck Working Lunch Webinar, on May 16 at 1 p.m. ET.

Missy Evenson

Missy Evenson, VP Sales, Local Media, The E.W. Scripps Co. — She has been in buying and media sales for more than 25 years. Her career has taken her from Texas and Colorado to Ohio. She has held positions at KMGH Denver that included national sales manager, local sales manager and director of sales. More recently, she was director of revenue strategy for the West region for Scripps before her current position. She has been with Scripps for eight years.

Evenson has also served as the chairperson for the ABC Sales Advisory committee, is a current member of the Nielsen Local Media Alliance and a member of the TVB Board of Governors.

Evenson graduated Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in advertising and English.

Chris Martinez

Chris Martinez, OTT Director of Sales, Hearst Television — A veteran of television and digital sales, he started his career with Katz Television Group, where he represented Hearst Television’s stations initially in 11 markets. In 2017, he received the inaugural TVB Next Award for Television Sales.

By 2018 he was promoted to manager, integrated video with responsibility for selling Hearst’s OTT platform, Hearst Anyscreen, for all of the Katz represented Hearst stations, before moving in-house with Hearst Television in 2021 to oversee Anyscreen as well as ad sales for Hearst Television’s rapidly growing Very Local streaming service, which now boasts dozens of originals and is available on every major platform.

Ahron Young

Ahron Young, CEO and Managing Editor, Ticker — He is an accomplished journalist and the founder of Ticker News, a media platform known for its innovative approach to news delivery and content creation. With a career spanning over two decades, Young has established himself as an innovator in the media industry.

Erin Overstreet

Erin Overstreet, VP Digital Sales, Gray Television — With a drive to contribute to the industry’s convergence of traditional broadcast and digital, Erin Overstreet oversees digital sales for Gray, the owner and/or operator of television stations and digital properties in 91 markets across the U.S. including the first or second highest rated television station in 85 markets.

A former financial adviser with a background also in both sales and news, Overstreet joined Gray in 2008 with the aim to help local advertisers continue to successfully market their brands in a rapidly changing consumer environment. OTT is no exception to this, and Gray continues to evolve in content creation and delivery.

Daniel Albritton

Daniel Albritton, CEO and Founder, Megaphone TV —  With a background in biomedical engineering at Columbia University and interactive telecommunications at NYU, he is a specialist in TV production and game design.

Albritton’s passion for helping broadcasters and format buyers use interactive content segments to improve audience engagement and sponsorship results has resulted in Megaphone TV receiving one Emmy award and three nominations.
