CBS To Launch DABL Lifestyle Network

The new digital network will debut Sept. 9, anchored by the CBS Television Stations Group. It will feature programs from the libraries of iconic personalities including Martha Stewart and Emeril.

CBS Television Distribution is launching DABL (dab·​ble) — a new multiplatform, advertiser-supported lifestyle network, on Sept. 9, it was announced today by Steve LoCascio, chief operating and financial officer of CBS Global Distribution Group.

Anchored by the CBS Television Stations group, DABL will launch on the digital spectrum of television stations nationwide. The network is cleared in over 70% of the country, including all of the top 10 markets and 23 of the top 25 markets.

“The strength of our distribution and ad sales teams, combined with our O&O station group and the depth of our library, provides us with a lot of opportunities to mine in the digital landscape,” LoCascio said. “We chose DABL as our first foray into the space because we see a huge upside in the marketplace for lifestyle programming. We are excited to partner with our CBS stations group to bring this advertiser-friendly network with some of the most beloved personalities in the genre to life.”

DABL will feature informative, project-based, feel-good content for viewers to indulge their passions for cooking, home renovation, design, DIY, pets and travel. The initial lineup will showcase programming from the libraries of popular, world-renowned lifestyle experts including Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse, among others.
