FABLife will not be returning for a second season. Original episodes will continue to be produced and aired for the remainder of the season. “We’re extremely proud of everyone involved with the show and would like to thank them for all of their contributions and tireless efforts,” said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution. “We are especially appreciative of our talented and dynamic co-hosts Chrissy Teigen, Joe Zee, Leah Ashley and Lauren Makk, and we would also like to extend a huge thanks to our station partners for all of their support.”
She is leaving the daytime talk show to focus on her cosmetic line. Chrissy Teigen, Joe Zee, Lauren Makk and Leah Ashley also serve as co-hosts on the freshman syndicated show from Disney-ABC.
Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen’s new syndicated show, FABLife, has turned to the drab life for the supermodels thanks to sinking ratings since its debut, TV insiders say.
FABLife from Disney-ABC, Crime Watch Daily from Warner Bros. and Crazy Talk from NBCU, receive their first Nielsen scores.
The Milwaukee NBC affiliate is replacing its 3 p.m. weekday newscast with a new syndicated lifestyle/talk show hosted by Tyra Banks. FABLife premieres Monday at 3 p.m. GM Joe Poss said Thursday that the decision to drop the 3 p.m. newscast and add a syndicated show had been in the works since last year, before the station was acquired by E.W. Scripps Co.
EP Shane Farley is now hard at work on Disney-ABC’s FABLife with Tyra Banks and four other co-hosts. The syndicated show will start taping in late August. “I have time to shape the show,” he says. Among the things in store: A set that looks like a big, comfortable home; co-hosts that will focus on their individual areas of expertise; and occasional celebrity guests.
Farley is a one-time co-executive producer of CBS Television Distribution’s Rachael Ray and producer on Warner Bros.’ Rosie O’Donnell Show. The panel talk show, set to debut this fall, features Tyra Banks along with Chrissy Teigen, Joe Zee, Lauren Makk and Leah Ashley.
