Tucker Carlson hasn’t left Fox Corp. quite yet. The company’s Fox News Media unit has hours and hours of various specials and original programming the controversial anchor developed for the subscription-based streaming service Fox Nation, and doesn’t appear poised to take any of that content down. The Carlson-created options currently available on the service are manifold.
Kevin Costner, Kelsey Grammer, Dan Aykroyd and a bevy of other notables are set to appear in a promo for Fox Nation, suggesting that the subscription-based streaming service is one of the more important business initiatives for Fox Corp., the parent company of the Fox broadcast network, which will televise Super Bowl this Sunday, and Fox News Media, which operates the broadband outlet.

On Monday, the Fox Nation streaming service will host a televised debate between Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in a replica of the Senate Chamber hosted at the Kennedy Institute. The debate isn’t about an election. Neither Graham nor Sanders are up this year. Rather, it’s about trying to bring sincere, old-school debates back into style at a time when social media and cable news chyrons are king. The Senate Project, as it’s being called, is a byproduct of the Institute, as well as the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation and the Bipartisan Policy Center. Two other debates are already scheduled, with the next set to be hosted by C-SPAN.
Satellite-distributor DirecTV, which weeks ago unveiled plans to drop conservative outlet OAN, still wants to offer viewers right-leaning content. The company said it had already begun to offer Fox Nation, the subscription-video service that acts as a companion service to Fox News Channel. Fox Nation is being made available as a “premium add-on” for DirecTV subscribers, the company said.
