KVRR Makes Transition To High-Definition
Fox affiliate KVRR Fargo, N.D., broadcast its first high-definition newscast Wednesday night. The station has been producing newscasts for viewers in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota since 2000.

KMIZ Adds 6:30 P.M. News, Goes HD
The JW Broadcasting ABC affiliate debuted its new newscast on Monday while simultaneously converting its local broadcasts to high definition with new production equipment and graphics.
Nexstar is bringing news competition back to Utica, N.Y., with evening and late news on ABC affiliate WUTR and late news on Fox affiliate WFXV — all in HD.
The Wichita, Kan., ABC affiliate, is in the final stages of its HD transition. The last station in the market to go HD, KAKE will debut new graphics and an updated set with the HD changeover. The station is also installing an automation system, which is used by the other Gray Television stations.
Both Knoxville, Tenn., stations will be upgrading to high definition around May 1, with Gannett’s WBIR supplying morning, evening and weekend broadcasts for Raycom’s Fox affil WTNZ.
