Una Vez Mas Completes 2 Texas Station Buys
Una Vez Mas has completed its acquisition of two full-power television stations: KNWS Houston, which has been renamed KYAZ, and KLDT Dallas, which is now KAZD. Both are now Azteca America affiliates and were purchased out of the pending Johnson Broadcasting bankruptcy.
Spanish-language broadcaster Una Vez Mas Texas Holdings has closed on its previously announced purchase of KNWS Houston and KLDT Dallas for $24.8 million, according to broker Kalil & Co. Seller Johnson Broadcasting, which had fallen into bankruptcy, has no other broadcast interests. The bankruptcy court had approved the sale a year ago. Una Vez Mas is headed by Terry Crosby and Randy Nonberg and backed by Alta Communications, a Boston-based private equity firm.
