Good Morning America co-host Strahan will join Laura Shepard Churchley, the eldest daughter of astronaut Alan Shepard, on the Dec. 9 mission aboard the New Shepard, Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin spacecraft named after her father and the first American in space.
The Good Morning America host is currently not experiencing any severe symptoms from COVID-19, according to people familiar with the situation. Strahan, who also provides analysis on the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show, appeared remotely during last Sunday’s NFC championship game.

The syndicated Live With Kelly And Michael is losing Michael Strahan to a fulltime slot on ABC’s Good Morning America starting in September. Strahan has worked a couple of days a week at GMA for the past two years, but he always has to leave midway through to head to the Live studio on Manhattan’s upper West Side.
