TVNEWSCHECK NEWS DIRECTORS SURVEY, PART II

NDs: We Could Do Better At Investigative

In part II of a TVNewsCheck survey, news directors come across as an optimistic lot with positive attitudes about the business and their bosses. But more than 80% concede they do an “average” or “poor” job at investigative journalism and only 38.5% expect to see more of it in the next three-to-five years. The news directors voted Hearst Television the prize for “best overall news” based on reputation alone while Sinclair took the “booby prize.”
