WCVB’s Dr. Timothy Johnson Retires After 40 Years
Bob Barocci, the Madison Avenue vet who has overseen the ad industry’s Advertising Research Foundation during one of the most tumultuous periods impacting media and marketing research, will retire Dec. 31, 2013, 10 years after he joined the organization following a career as a top ad man at legendary agency Leo Burnett.

Douglas Kranwinkle, is retiring after 12 years with the Spanish-language media giant, leaving the company without a corporate presence in its marquee market of Los Angeles. He will be succeeded by Jonathan Schwartz, most recently general counsel of JPMorgan’s Investment Bank.
KCWC Casper-Riverton General Manager Ruby Calvert has announced her intention to retire by June 30, 2013. “It was a very difficult decision,” Calvert said during a Central Wyoming College Board of Trustees meeting. “It’s still difficult. But I think it’s a good time, for both me and the station.” Calvert has worked for the state’s sole public television station for 31 years.

KSHB GM Mike Vrabac Sets Retirement
After nearly 40 years in the television business, Mike Vrabac, VP-GM of Scripps-owned Kansas City duopoly of KSHB-KMCI, announced his retirement.
The TV group executive will leave next February, capping a 40-year television career. He will serve as an adviser to the company in the interim. Jordan Wertlieb, EVP, and Frank Biancuzzo, SVP, will assume management oversight of the 10 stations currently in Stolz’s supervisory portfolio.
