The freshman talker hosted by actress, comedian and Daytime Emmy-winning co-host of The View, Sherri Shepherd, gains a long-term extension from its anchor station group.
The syndicated daytime talk show landscape has seen some big changes since the ending of shows from veterans Ellen DeGeneres and Wendy Williams earlier this year. Among the new shows that have launched this fall, there’s a clear winner: Denmar-Mercury’s Sherri.

What veteran TV executive Frank Cicha terms daytime’s “re-rack” has created openings for The Jennifer Hudson Show and Sherri, with Sherri Shepherd, both debuting Monday, and Karamo with Karamo Brown of Queer Eye fame, starting Sept. 19. They are joining a daytime lineup that includes continuing talk-variety series The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Drew Barrymore Show, Tamron Hall and ratings leaders The View, Dr. Phil and Live with Kelly and Ryan.
