Drama Revival Good News For TV Studios

After years of filling their schedule with a host of cheaper-to-produce reality shows, the broadcast networks are back in the drama and comedy business. The jump in spending on scripted shows by the TV networks, coupled with stronger back-end revenue potential via syndication and, say, from deals from streaming services, like Netflix, is likely to give big media’s production studios a big boost, according to a recent report.
