Gray moves her from local sales manager at its NBC affiliate in Jackson, Miss.

Gray Television’s NBC affiliate WLBT Jackson, Miss., has promoted Kristal Howell to general sales manager.

Here are some additional details from the article:

The sale price of $7.9 billion is the largest ever for a television station group.
Nexstar’s stations reach 110 million households, or about 39% of the US population.
The sale is expected to close in the second half of 2023.
Apollo and Blackstone are private equity firms that specialize in buying and selling businesses.
Nexstar’s CEO, Perry Sook, will remain with the company after the sale.
The sale is expected to face scrutiny from regulators, as it would give Nexstar a large share of the television market in some markets.
