Amy Calvert Named VP-GM Of KOKH-KOCB

She moves from KJRH Tulsa to oversee Sinclair’s Oklahoma City duopoly.

Sinclair today appointed Amy Calvert vice president and general manager of its Oklahoma City duopoly of Fox affiliate KOKH and independent KOCB.

Calvert joins Sinclair from KJRH, the Scripps Media NBC affiliate in Tulsa, where she most recently was VP-GM.

Rob Weisbord, Sinclair’s chief operating officer and president of local media, said: “Amy is a seasoned executive with deep roots in Oklahoma. We are excited she has joined Sinclair to lead our stations in Oklahoma City and we look forward to strengthening our bonds in the community as we continue to grow the stations.”

Calvert has held several leadership positions across the broadcast industry, including GM at GEB America and director of creative services at TV Guide Networks.

Calvert is a longtime Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters board member and previous OAB chairwoman.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in mass media communications and broadcast journalism from Oral Roberts University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
