Betsy Keefe Named GM Of WSAW Wausau, Wis.

Gray Television promotes her from general sales manager to succeed the retiring Al Lancaster as head of the CBS affiliate.

Gray Television’s CBS affiliate WSAW Wausau, Wis., announced today that Al Lancaster, its general manager, will retire this March after nearly 45 years in the broadcasting industry. He has led WSAW for the past 23 years.

On March 20, Betsy Keefe will succeed Lancaster. For the past 10 years, she has been WSAW’s general sales manager. She is a native of Wausau and began her career as a research assistant at WITI in Milwaukee before moving into sales.

Keefe “has been a driving force in creating a sales culture focused on growing local businesses and developing people throughout her department,” the station said.

Keefe has also been the director of government affairs for the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce and has served on the board of the Wausau Conservatory of Music.
