Mark Kurtz joins from Nexstar’s WAVY Norfolk, Va., where he was news director.
Kurtz Named Lockwood’s Charlottesville GM
Lockwood Broadcast Group has appointed Mark Kurtz general manager of its CBS affiliate WCAV Charlottesville, Va. (which also offers Fox programming on a subchannel) and ABC affiliate WVAW-LD there.
Kurtz brings more than 20 years of professional broadcast experience to this new job. Most recently he was news director for Nexstar’s WAVY Norfolk, Va., after being promoted from assistant news director.
Prior to that he held news and news management roles in Texas, where he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
