MFM Appoints Joseph Annotti President-CEO

The veteran trade association executive succeeds Mary Collins in leading the Media Financial Management Association and its BCCA subsidiary beginning in February.

Media Financial Management Association (MFM) and its BCCA subsidiary today announced that the association’s board of directors has appointed Joseph Annotti as president and chief executive officer. Effective February 1, 2022, he will assume day-to-day leadership of the organization, working directly with the board and association members and managing internal staff. Annotti, a longtime trade association executive based in the Chicago area, brings more than 35 years of trade and member association management from the consumer and commercial sectors to MFM.

“We’re delighted to welcome Joe Annotti to take the helm of MFM and BCCA at what continues to be a critical time for the media industry,” said David Bochenek, chairman of the board of MFM and BCCA. “Joe’s decades of association experience will serve us well, and we believe he will bring fresh insight that will continue to shape and implement the educational programs and services that benefit our members and address business challenges. I also want to personally thank Mary M. Collins, our outgoing CEO, for her more than 19 years of dedication to the association.”

Annotti most recently was president and CEO of the Center for Truth in Science, a nonprofit organization focused on fact-based science addressing issues at the intersection of science, economics, and litigation. Prior to that, he spent 12 years as president and CEO of the American Fraternal Alliance, a not-for-profit national trade association representing more than 60 fraternal life insurers in the U.S. Earlier, Annotti was senior vice president of public affairs for the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, a position he held for more than 14 years.

“I know I speak for everyone at MFM/BCCA in thanking Mary M. Collins for her leadership and tireless dedication to the association,” Annotti said. “I am honored and excited to assume this new role, to serve and help guide the future of the organization. We have an exceptionally talented internal team and board at MFM/BCCA that is focused on taking decisive actions to continually better the association, and to move it forward on multiple levels.”
